About Dr.Williams
Dr. Williams has been involved in the connection between chronic Illness and brain health for over 25 years.
During her career she has treated children and adults suffering from complex medical conditions with neuropsychiatric manifestations. Dr. Williams believes that mental illness/distress is an all encompassing illness that involves the immune system, endocrine system and nervous system and will do a complete, thorough diagnostic work up.
Her approach is to treat all patients in a warm, compassionate way to get to the bottom of her patient's pain. She believes in thoroughly educating patients in their treatment options so that the best possible treatment decisions can be made.
Dr Williams is board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Williams is a member of the American Psychiatric Association Caucus on Integrative Medicine, and will discuss with you all treatment modalities available, prescription medications as well as environmental and dietary approaches. Her many areas of expertise are: General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatric Disorders, PANDAS/PANS, Neuropsychiatric Manifestations of Tick-borne Illness, Complex Invisible Illness including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.
Dr. Williams is a native of the Seattle area . She lives in Woodinville Washington with her husband, three horses and four cats.
